José Fardilha - Don Magnifico
Since embracing in recent years the buffo repertoire, José Fardilha is quickly becoming
one of its most sought after interpreters.
Born in Portugal, he won the "Toti dal Monte" Prize, that led him to make
his debut in Don Giovanni (Leporello) in Treviso, Rovigo, Strasbourg
and Trieste.
After that he began a career that brought him in the world's greatest opera
houses and festivals, including: Wiener Staatsoper; Salzburger Festspiele; Barbican
Center in London; Opéra de Paris; Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin; Bayerische
Staatsoper in Munich; Zurich Opernhaus; Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Teatro Regio
in Turin; Teatro La Fenice in Venice; Teatro del Maggio Musicale in Florence; Arena
Sferisterio in Macerata; Martina Franca Festival; Teatro São Carlos in Lisbon and
New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv.
Plans include: Don Pasquale in Leipzig and at the Glyndebourne
Festival Opera; Le Nozze di Figaro in Toulouse; La Damnation
de Faust in Berlin; La Cenerentola in Leipzig; Il Barbiere di

Luca Dall’Amico - Alidoro
Among the most interesting singers of the new generation, young and upcoming bass
Luca Dall’Amico was chosen by Riccardo Muti for the role of Agamemnon in Iphigénie
en Aulide at the Opera in Rome. Right after he made his debut at La Scala
in Milan in Assassinio nella Cattedrale by Pizzetti. Among his past commitments:
La Cambiale di Matrimonio and L’Education Manqué at the Wexford Festival,
La Sonnambula in Graz, La Forza del Destino and I Lombardi alla Prima
Crociata at the Sferisterio in Macerata, L’Italiana in Algeri in
Vicenza and Il Trovatore in Ravenna. Luca Dall’Amico regularly worked with conductors
as Riccardo Muti, James Conlon, Bruno Bartoletti, Corrado Rovaris, Gianluigi Gelmetti.
Particularly appreciated for his remarkable stage presence, Luca Dall’Amico performed
in Macbeth Nabucco under the baton of Riccardo Muti at the Teatro
dell'Opera in Rome; Le Nozze di Figaro in Ancona; Barbiere di Siviglia,
La Traviata, Rigoletto, La Bohème,
L’Africaine, La Clemenza di Tito
in Venice; Madama Butterfly and Tosca in Torre del Lago; Petite Messe
Solennelle in Rome.
Luca Dall’Amico starred in concert at the Ravenna Festival, Riccardo Muti conducting,
and again with Muti in Chicago with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Recent
engagements include Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Simon Boccanegra and
I Capuleti e i Montecchi in Venice; Les Pécheures des Perles at
the Teatro Regio in Parma; Aida (Ramphis) in St. Margarethen; Il Campiello
in Florence; Rossini’s Stabat Mater
in Liverpool. Luca Dall'Amico was on tour in Japan with the Teatro dell'Opera
in Roma, singing in Simon Boccanegra and Nabucco.
